CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS

Presentation proposals are now being accepted for the 2027 Illinois Wastewater Professionals Conference. 

The focus of the conference is all aspects of the water environment including agency/utility management, regulations/permits, planning, engineering, construction, and operation in the areas of wastewater collection and conveyance, wastewater treatment, water quality, laboratory operation and management, watershed management, wet weather management, water resource management, and biosolids management. Each session will include a 30-minute presentation and 10 minutes of Q&A.

What we're looking for:

• Presentations on all aspects of the water environment.
• Case studies on process improvements or completed projects are encouraged.
• Presentations highlighting the practical use of AI in water design or operations.
• Sessions of interest to novice, intermediate, and experienced participants.
• Presentations prepared and presented by young professionals.
• Diversity of speakers is strongly valued as we believe it increases the value of the program and the overall event.

Presentation Abstract Review:

Presentations will be selected by the IWPC Program Committee based on the following: 

• Overall quality (well-defined focus and learning objectives, concise description, practical application)
• Timeliness and relevance
• Anticipated interest
• Speaker qualifications

Proposal Submission Guidelines :

• All proposals must be submitted online.
• Multiple submissions accepted; please submit a separate entry for each.
• Provide a short abstract highlight followed by a more detailed long abstract description (400 words or less).
