Can I receive Profession Development Hours for attending IWPC?
IWPC technical sessions are eligible for PDH’s (professional development hours). Illinois is a self-reporting state. Therefore, you need only keep track of the sessions you attend and place this information in your files.

Per the regulations, here are acceptable ways to document your attendance for audit purposes:
  1. The name and address of the sponsor or provider, the number of hours attended in each program, the date and place of the program and a certificate of attendance; or
  2. A log of activities that includes the date and number of hours claiming as PDHs, a brief statement of the subject matter, printed program schedules, registration receipts or other proof of participation; or
  3. Transcripts or records of professional development hours maintained by an acceptable provider as set forth in subsection (e).

New for IWPC 2021, transcripts for PDH’s earned for session attendance will be offered. See the PDH/TCH page for more information.

Can I receive TCHs for attending IWPC?
TCHs, or Total Credit Hours, are how IePA refers to continuing education. IWPC technical sessions are eligible for TCHs.

New for IWPC 2022, attendance tracking for technical sessions will be available and a combined transcript of all sessions attended will be issued after the conference. This transcript can be used to record your continuing education in IEPA's OpCert program. See the PDH/TCH page for more information.
